If your printer dry ed out is there a way to clean it so the ink can get through I have a canon bic-2000?

Usually when a cartridge is dried out, you need a new cartridge, but if you know there is ink in there, you might see if your printer has a "Clean" option in the printer control panel. If that doesn't work, there used to be a special paper that had a sticky residue, and was supposed to clean print heads. You might be able to find the paper at your local office supply store. If neither of the above options work, you might remove the cartridge, and wipe the print heads with a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol, that should dissolve the dried ink.
