Why do people love worshiping celebrities ? Are we missing something in our lives?

The whole celeb culture sickens me. The Paparazzi should all be put up against a wall and shot. The more we do it the more we buy into the revolting "winners" and "losers" morally currupt mind-set. Don't get me wrong. I love my movies/music/sport whatever as much as the next person but I really don't give a fiddler's what they eat for breakfast, what colour toilet roll they use or why they are sleeping with their baby-sitter's grand-mother while beaing beaten by 5 prostitutes dressed like Cinderalla and wearing her husband's rugby world cup shirt tied up with a yellow bow, a garter and sprinkled with extracts of Black Rose. As long as they makes good movies, sing great songs or score great goals I couldn't care less.
