Right to face accuser: what if the parties involved are in different states?

Does the right to face accuser in court apply to civil cases? There's a woman who did business with us in another state; she breached the contract and now refuses to pay what she owes. If we took the case to court, would we be able to pick a court at a location convenient to us? Or would the trial be in a court at the defendant's location?
