Why must a DNAse test be incubated for 24 hours?

Well, I'm not sure which test this is. DNAase is an enzyme, and most tests using this enzyme have to be allowed to react for a certain amount of time to complete the reaction. I guess 24 hours is a good amount of time to allow this enzyme to complete its activity.
