Why don't ppl like saying the Rosary?

I called the priest of my local catholic church today. I asked him to say some rosaries with me and he didn't want to. And asides from that, i usually get groans and just general disapproval in general whenever the rosary is mentioned. Has anyone else noticed this or am i just imagining it? And why do you think it's like this? Is there something about the Rosary that i don't know??
