Who sings the country version of "I Will Always Love You" in the film "The Bodyguard"?

This question was asked a while back and nobody was able to answer it. There is a scene where Rachel (Whitney Houston) and Frank (Kevin Costner) are on a date in a bar. While they are dancing there is a country version of "I Will Always Love You" playing in the background by a male vocalist. I have been trying for ages to find who this is and to get a copy of the song. I've finally been able to get it. The singer is John Doe (founder of the band called X in the late 70s which has since reunited and is currently touring).
