Is there a bird that cries like a new born baby...bird or what??? Please truth!!!?

People from my village claim to have heard it. It can be heard only two or three times a year (in the months of Jan and Feb) but yesterday (28 March) while i was talking to my sister on the phone she said she heard it again around 5:30pm to 6pm...other people also confirm hearing it last night. They claim it is a bird (size of an eagle with a very long tail feathers). It cries around the village only once a night and 2-3 times a year. Its cries are sometimes like a new born baby and sometimes like a baby that had learn to crawl. Please if you know of such bird let me know as I have heard stories about it before but last night i intend to find out if there is such a bird...villagers thought it is something to do with sorcery.
